Letter from the Vicarage

Service update and proposed forward planning.

Dear all, now that churches are being slowly re-opened with appropriate hygiene and social distancing in place, we will be moving forward in the following way:

The present opening of the church at Sibsey for Individual Prayer on Saturdays and Sundays will continue until 26th July.

Brothertoft Church will have a service of Morning Worship at 10.45am on Sunday 26th July which will be led by me.

On Sunday 2nd August regular services will begin across the Benefice with some variations than the normal pattern due to continuing guidelines being in place. This will also mean that reduced seating capacity will be in place especially across the Carrington and Brothertoft Groups and you are advised to contact the Church Wardens if you would like to attend.

On 2nd August there will be:

A Family Style Service at Sibsey at 10.30am

Morning Worship at Holland Fen at 10.45am

Please note Holy Communion Services are still suspended at the moment.

Cleaning of Churches:

A full clean of all churches will take place and the churches prepared for worship. Thereafter cleaning will be done as it used to be before Covid 19, this will be done on Wednesday Mornings to ensure that the premises are free from the Virus. Volunteers are reminded to wear gloves and facemasks at this time.

All Churches will remain closed except for Wednesday Cleaning and Sunday Worship to help to contain the Virus and create a safe environment for people to congregate.

Sadly there will not be any singing allowed but Organists, Guitarists, or taped music will play at the usual positions where communal singing would have taken place.

Details of services will be available on Notice Boards and on the Church Websites.

It will be a delight to be able to worship with you all and I look forward to doing so safely and responsibly.

For all those who are still shielding or reluctant or unable to join us, the service will still be available on- line as it has been throughout the pandemic, it will follow a similar pattern in church so that we can all in one way or another join together in giving worship to God.

With my blessing upon you all.

Reverend Clive
